Sydney event

The national launch of the Community Geographic Domain Name initiative took place in Sydney at Customs House at Circular Quay on the 8th August, 2006.

Media personality and comedian Adam Spencer acted as the host of the event, presenting a welcome to proceedings and an introduction of each speaker.

The honourable John Della Bosca, the New South Wales Minister for Commerce was the key note speaker for the event.  The honourable Tony Staley, Chair of auCD, Leonie Parkinson, General Manager of auCD and Prue Deniz from Sensis each spoke at the event.

Additionally, the 3 pilot study communities with representatives from Bathurst, Wollongong and Ballarat  all spoke about their experiences with their community website groups and community websites.
