auCD, in conjunction with Kalbar Regional Organisation for Promotion (KROP), invited Kalbar and the surrounding region to attend a free information workshop on developing a community website using their Community Geographic Domain Name (CGDN) on 5th February, 2008 at the Kalbar Civic Centre.

Tim Eltham, President of KROP, said that "with Kalbar in particular set to grow considerably over the next decade with a number of residential subdivisions getting underway, having an accessible point of information for newcomers will be vital".  The session provided KROP, who have already applied for their CGDN, with the opportunity to engage with the larger community about the community website plans, as well as enable them to gain better understanding of what auCD provide and how other communities across Australia have been making their website a success.
