Horsham VIC

auCD, in collaboration with the Wimmera Information Network (WIN), invited Horsham and surrounding localities to a free information workshop on developing a community website using a Community Geographic Domain Name (CGDN) on 16th April, 2008.  The workshop took place in the Reception Room in the Municipal Offices of Horsham Rural City Council.

With a full house Leonie Parkinson talked to the attendees about the Community Geographic Domain Name (CGDN) initiative and what other communities have been doing around Australia with theirs.  They were also able to hear from Judith Bysouth, Wimmera Information Network (WIN), how Horsham will soon be coming online using their new geographic home on the net!

Many smaller localities around Horsham were also represented on the night, including NHill, Wartook, Murtoa, Stawell, Laharan, Edenhope and Apsley.
