auCD, with the support of South Grampians Shire Council, was pleased to invite Hamilton and surrounding localities to a free information workshop on developing a community website using a Community Geographic Domain Name (CGDN).  The workshop took place at the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre on 15th April, 2008.

The attendees, were able to learn how Hamilton, along with all other localities in Australia, has been reserved a Community Geographic Domain Name (CGDN) to be used only as a community website.  They learnt how these important and valuable assets have already been used by many localities to help develop an important communication tool for their communities.

They also heard stories of how community websites were benefiting these localities and how becoming a part of this online 'community of communities' could benefit them and their locality.
