auCD, with the support of Surf Coast Shire Council, invited Torquay and surrounding localities to a free information seminar on developing a community website using a Community Geographic Domain Name (CGDN). The session took place on the 16th July, 2008 at the Spring Creek Community House, Torquay.

Representatives from localities including Torquay, Aireys Inlet, Anglesea and Lorne were present to learn how their CGDN can be used to strengthen ties within the community as well as acting as a trusted local resource to those visiting or thinking of relocating to their localities.
