26. Interpretation

26.1                  Persons

In this Constitution, a reference to a person includes a firm, partnership, joint venture, association, corporation or other corporate body.

26.2                  Legislation

In this Constitution, a reference to a statute includes regulations under it and consolidations, amendments, re-enactments or replacements of any of them.

26.3                  This Document, Clauses and Headings

In this Constitution:

26.3.1              a reference to this or any other document includes the document as varied or replaced regardless of any change in the identity of the parties;

26.3.2              a reference to a clause, schedule or appendix is a reference to a clause, schedule or appendix in or to this Constitution;

26.3.3              a reference to writing includes all modes of representing or reproducing words in a legible, permanent and visible form; and

26.3.4              headings and sub-headings are inserted for ease of reference only and do not affect the interpretation of this Constitution.

26.4                  Business Day

If a payment or other act is required by this Constitution to be made or done on a day which is not a Business Day, the payment or act must be made or done on the next following Business Day.

26.5                  Number and Gender

In this Constitution, a reference to:

26.5.1              the singular includes the plural and vice versa; and

26.5.2              a gender includes the other genders.
